The Benefits of Hot Towel Treatment

A hot towel on the face has a number of therapeutic, stress-relieving advantages. Before a straight razor shave, a hot towel softens the skin and hair to prepare it for a clean, close shave. When a hot towel is applied to the skin after a straight razor shave, it soothes any irritation that might’ve occurred in the dermis. It also opens up and clears the pores of the skin, giving it a healthy glow. The heat of the towel relaxes the muscles of the face, while the massage loosens the facial tissue, further relaxing the client. The hot towel massage makes for a refreshing and revitalizing finish to a clean cut and shave.

Facials

We use a variety of natural oils, such as avocado and peach, to massage the facial tissue after applying the hot towel treatment. The natural oils lightly coat the dermis, sinking deeper into the skin throughout the facial massage, though never clogging the pores.


We employ several massage techniques that are proven to loosen any tenseness in the face and deeply relax our clients. 

The Benefits of Pre-Shampooing

The pre-poo (or pre-shampooing) is a moisturization technique which prepares the hair for normal shampoo and conditioner. Shampoos can be known for stripping the hair of its natural oils, leaving it dry and brittle if not properly moisturized afterwards. Hair butters, oils, or other natural moisturizers are used to coat the hair to lock in moisture before shampooing. To avoid the stripping of the hair, a pre-shampoo treatment with the aforementioned will reinforce the hair shafts to retain moisture for happier, healthier hair. Pre-shampooing will result in a better haircut. 

The Eucalyptus Stress Relief Aromatherapy Treatment

Accompanying the hot towel massage, we have a eucalyptus stress relief aromatherapy treatment, which also has a number of benefits. Being a natural decongestant, the spray clears the nasal passage, allowing for deeper, more relaxed breaths. This relaxed breathing enables the client to unwind and de-stress. When applied to skin or hair, it acts as an antibacterial moisturizer, and is chock full of medicinal qualities.
